Here is a very touching story we received on Nov. 15th from one volunteer showing
how God uses this ministry to reach people for Him. Praise God!!!

My first brother and I, ages 38 and 36, had been moved out from Mom's place for
almost one year to the date when Mom and Dad received a phone call from state
authorities to inform them that the 4 children in the trailer in Cleveland County were
being removed from the custody of their parents. You may be thinking why did they
call the Godwins. Mom and Dad had been babysitting the oldest child every weekend
since birth and that relationship was known because Mom and Dad had supported this
family with money, love, time, and vouching for them when they were in trouble with
authorities that they were trying. The AA and such as that, trying to get it together.
Nothing worked and the state had enough , eight years...no changes and the addition
of 3 more kids etc, so Mom and Dad received that call. Of course, they jumped in their
car drove out and brought the 4 kids home to Indian Trail to spend the nights with
them until things were sorted out.

Much to their surprise they had just brought home their 4 new children and since have
adopted them fully, completely as their own. We have been a family now for 12 years
and let me just tell you how awesome it is!!! These kids are the most loving, kind,
polite children....not because I love them do I say this, really they ARE.
In the beginning of the adoption, it was Mrs. Billy who brought things and left them at
the door step, Mom always said it was Matthews Help Center leaving the food and
such. But I know for sure Mrs. Billy was making drops of her own of toys and things for
those kids as well. I know because I came with Mrs. Billy and worked with her at With
Love from Jesus on a give away day and she told me as the day goes on and you see
things the kids need or would like for Christmas set them aside and take them with you
when you go.

I found it to be JOYful to work and I'll never forget giving a soccer ball to a little boy
who was afraid to take it for he knew he had no money to give and he didn't
understand it was a gift from Jesus to him and it's FREE. So I explained no money
needed, it's yours for the taking...and he stretched out his arms and received that
soccer ball like I had handed him GOLD! That was an amazing moment for me. I was
24 then, now 36 and began last year to take God's hand and walk with him.

But that Christmas 12 years ago was a wild event the kids had gifts and as we are
sitting awaiting them to wake and come down to see what Santa had brought for them,
cameras in hand, video recorders etc. We are all excited and down they came one by
one, to our surprise they were afraid, completely frightened, had no idea even what to
do and why were we sitting there all happy with cameras. It was truly their 1st
Christmas. Not to worry we got down in the floor and showed them exactly what to do,
find your name on a package and rip it open, it's yours.....you know how it goes!!!
Oh it took us a bit to get them going but they got the hang of it and then we turned the
cameras on and what JOY!!!!! Thank you JOY for doing what you do without you and
your acting upon your calling would this have happened.

So now, as the kids grow, we have one in College, 2 in high school and one in middle
school. They all came this past weekend and helped unstuff that truck and put things
in the proper place and found much JOY doing it! It was a great day for us all but the
story gets so much better JOY...so much better, Saturday evening, that night, we all
went to the 5pm service at Elevation Church, (Momma MOTMOT included) and when
Pastor prayed at the end of the sermon he asked if anyone wanted to ask Jesus into
their hearts to open the door......on the count of 3 he asked them with eyes closed,
heads bowed to shoot their hands up in the air high for Jesus to see, I peeked Mrs.
Joy , I'm a peeker.... But I want you to know that each one of those boys gave their life
to Christ each one of their little hands were up and heads down eyes shut praying with
all their little hearts, I looked and I saw and burst into tears of JOY...he has
overcome.......Thank you Jesus!!!!
So was it volunteering that day knowing that this JOY lady had helped them when they
were kids or was it the powerful sermon delivered by Pastor Furtick....WHO KNOW OR
CARES!!!!!!!

IT WORKS, IT WORKS.... It really really works!!!

Thank you for doing what you do!
